Tiff Schmitz offers a thoughtful, integrative approach to counseling at Rivertown Wellness, grounded in clinical training, healthcare experience, and a deep respect for the whole person. She is especially passionate about supporting marriages, midlife women, and individuals navigating health-related concerns that impact emotional, relational, and mental well-being.
With 34 years as an RN, Tiff brings a strong understanding of the mind/body connection and the ways stress, illness, caregiving, and life transitions can affect identity, relationships, and emotional health. She works with couples who desire healthier communication, deeper connection, and greater emotional safety, and with women in midlife who are navigating change, burnout, or a sense of disconnection from themselves or others.
Tiff also provides executive coaching backed by her years of senior leadership success and Master’s degree in management with a focus on leadership and strategic planning. She enjoys working with professionals and leaders who are pursuing professional growth and leveling up their leadership. She also works with small businesses to help them fulfill their mission and vision.
With a collaborative, evidence-based, and holistic approach, Tiff honors the role of spirituality in healing and, when desired by the client. She gently integrates faith as a source of meaning, strength, and resilience. She is committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and structured therapeutic environment where clients feel supported in pursuing growth, restoration, and lasting change.
Her family heritage has deep roots in military service. Her grandfather, father, husband, and son are combat Veterans. In addition, her husband is a retired law enforcement officer. With experience working in emergency and trauma, she has a profound respect for first responders, healthcare workers, and their family members.
Tiff and her husband have been married for 35 years. They have two amazing adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and three spunky grandkids. She enjoys game nights, traveling, relaxing by the fire pit, hiking, and exploring new coffee shops.
