I am a counselor trainee and graduate student at Xavier University. Before entering the counseling field, I worked as a cosmetologist, where I found the most rewarding part of my work wasn’t the physical transformations, but the conversations that happened in the chair. I enjoyed holding space for my clients as they shared their personal struggles. I realized how influential genuine care, listening, and empathy are for instilling hope into painful circumstances. After working in the industry for three years, I found my true passion was helping others in a deeper, more intentional way, and chose to pursue a career in counseling.

I understand the vulnerability that comes with opening up to a stranger, and my goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I am passionate about using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. I believe the stories we tell ourselves hold immense power over how we feel and interact with the world, and together, we can work to reframe those stories into ones of strength, self-compassion, and growth.

I also offer faith-based counseling for those who wish to integrate spirituality into their healing process. Having grown up in the church, I understand that faith can bring both comfort and pain, and I strive to offer a space where clients can safely explore their beliefs and experiences wherever they are at in their faith journey.

Alongside faith-based counseling, I have a special passion for working with adolescents, as this stage of life is a pivotal time for identity development and self-discovery. Navigating challenges like anxiety or ADHD can feel overwhelming, and I strive to help teens build practical tools and coping skills while developing greater self-compassion. I also enjoy working with couples to help them communicate more openly, understand each other’s needs, and reconnect in meaningful ways.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy weightlifting, baking, and spending time outdoors. I view physical and emotional wellness as deeply connected and incorporate walk-and-talk therapy for those who find comfort in movement.
